Matthew Cordell (Ep. 128)

Matthew Cordell (@CordellMatthew), author illustrator of Wish (@DisneyHyperion) and illustrator of Special Delivery (@MacKidsBooks) by Philip C. Stead, stops by to talk about satisfying two vastly different audiences, throwing lines away if they don't look spontaneous enough, and the immortal work of Fred Rogers.

  2. Wow, what a moving interview! Thank you Matthew Cordell for sharing your story and processes with us. And thank you Matthew Winner for this podcast. I just discovered it, and it's keeping me company at the drawing table while I start my own journey in children's books. I love the enthusiasm and I am inspired by the stories of how each author and illustrator finds his or her unique voice. How wonderful to be part of this world of children's literature!
