Dan, I wish I could express how delightful this interview with you was. I've been so familiar with your work for years now and have admired your VERY evident skills and talent . I happen to know Corey (through SCBWI), who is SO gifted at what she does (her rhyming is incredible, and oh, the story ideas!) and your work brought the Ninja Pigs to life so perfectly! Here's wishing you could always feel confident that you will ALways have work in this business :)
ReplyDeleteI know, mostly through Facebook and Twitter, that you and Lisa Yee are good friends and ALways look like you're having a blast AND eating the most delectable foods! Your "shark" trailer is absolutely hilarious, along with so much else you do, so when I think of you, I think "funny." Hearing you talk with Matthew about you and your work in a more serious manner was a joy tonight. And, Matthew, I got goosebumps, too. I'm checking out my library immediately and KNOW I will own Beekle some time soon. In fact, I was wondering why you named the character Beekle, and just then you went on to explain it. This is just too precious. You really moved me and got me choked up over this in a BIG way. Guys, thank you SO much for this :)
